ACTING PROGRAM 2026–2027 — ENROLLMENT OPEN
A year-long professional program that combines acting training with hands-on experience in film.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The ROZMAII Acting Program is a structured professional training program designed to prepare actors for real work in film and provide a strong foundation for further development. The program combines acting training, partner work, body and voice practice, attention and imagination exercises, text analysis, on-camera practice, rehearsals, and participation in film shoots. An important part of the program is also developing a broader understanding of art — its history, psychology, and cultural context. Throughout the program, students gain both a strong theoretical foundation and practical experience — from working on scenes to creating short films and gaining experience on a real film set.
The curriculum consists of two parallel areas of study: practical acting training twice a week and the shared Anatomy of Art course once a week.

Anatomy of Art
Once a week
Shared classes with students from the directing, screenwriting, cinematography, and producing programs, focused on the history, psychology, and cultural context of art. Film, theatre, literature, music, visual art, and other disciplines are explored not only historically, but through the analysis of works, artistic movements, ideas, and processes that shape art.
The aim of the course is to broaden cultural awareness, develop the ability to see connections between different art forms, analyse works and artistic phenomena, formulate independent opinions, and develop artistic taste. Studying together with students from different disciplines also creates a space for discussion, exchange of perspectives, and the development of a shared professional language between actors, directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and producers.
LEARNING THROUGH PRACTICE
The Acting Program works in close collaboration with the other ROZMAII film programs. Students work with directors, screenwriters, cinematographers, and producers, take part in filming scenes and short films, and gain experience of the real filmmaking process. The final project of the program is a graduation short film.

To create something that does not exist in reality, to offer people a vision of the imaginary, the ideal, the nonexistent yet beautiful — perhaps this is what distinguishes an actor from a well-trained monkey.

How does admission to the program work?
Admission to the Acting Program is based on an interview.
After you submit an application, we will contact you to get to know you and understand your goals, motivation, and expectations from the program.
How are the classes structured?
Classes take place three times a week. Two sessions are dedicated to practical acting training, while the third is the shared Anatomy of Art course. In addition to regular classes, students work with scene partners, rehearse, and participate in film shoots.
What is “Anatomy of Art”?
Anatomy of Art is a shared course for students from all ROZMAII film programs, dedicated to the history and psychology of culture and art. During the course, we analyse film, theatre, literature, and other artistic phenomena, learn to understand context, explore how and why works of art are created, and develop our own artistic taste.
Do I need to work outside regular classes?
Yes. Acting requires independent practice. Rehearsals, preparation of material, partner assignments, and some filming take place outside the regular class schedule.
What will I gain after completing the program?
You will gain a structured acting foundation, practical experience working on camera and on a film set, participation in the creation of short films, and a completed graduation film for your professional portfolio. You will also become part of a creative community of like-minded people. ROZMAII is a place where people not only study, but also meet collaborators, work together, create their own projects, and continue making art together after completing the program.
How long does the program last?
The program lasts 9 months, from October 16, 2026 to July 30, 2027.
Classes take place three times a week, with each class lasting 3 hours.
